If you are looking for adventure this is the perfect option for adrenaline lovers. This new multi-adventure activity of Coasteering in Gran Canaria is a fun day out along the cliffs of the beautiful coast of Mogán. With a number of different activities like rappelling, via Ferrata, cliff jumping, and zip line accompanied by a safety expert guide.
COASTEERING IN GRAN CANARIA
Take this thrill-seeking adventure day out through the marine cliffs of the west side of the island. Here we’ll jump into the sea from different heights, a zip line that crosses a cave and finishes in the sea, a via Ferrata above the waves (a method of rock climbing in which you are aided by two steel wires) and rappels directly to the sea, we’ll be doing some swimming and visiting the caves along the way. For all levels and no sport condition required! It’s a complete experience for your senses.
We’ll dress in the wetsuits, lifejacket, helmet, and security personal equipment (harness, carabiner, and descender). After you get all suited up and the preliminary safety procedures you’ll spend 5 hours practicing this fun sport in groups of a maximum of 8 people. At the end of the adventure, the team will provide downloadable photos included of the day out.
During the activity, we’ll take a break to bring our energy reserves back to normal with a small picnic with fresh fruits, chocolates, cookies, and water. After that, you’ll head over to the last trek of the journey to Taurito beach (a great sport to scuba dive or snorkel).
Join Victor and Miere on this extreme sport along the coast of Gran Canaria. These experts will supervise everyone’s safety and make sure you have a great time.

Tour Reviews
I did the Coasteering activity booked with Coconut trips with a friend. This was a lovely activity to discover the coastal area of Gran Canaria (caves, jumping spots, a small zip line, a via ferrata, a hidden beach and a touristic beach) under the supervision of an experienced guide.
The only reason why I am not giving this activity 5/5 stars is because it was sold to us as an activity for the young and old with no prior experience needed. The reason why they say this is because if you don’t want to do the zip line, the via ferrata or a high jump, you can always go swimming to the next rock meeting point. However, if you really want to enjoy all the activities planned you do need to be fit (for the via ferrata you will be required to be able to lift your leg to your waist height (with a wet neoprene on) and pull yourself up to take the next climbing position, all throughout the first quarter of the climb which is the most challenging), to have upper body strength (you need to hold your full body weight with your hands in the zip line since there is no carabiner that will hold your harness to the rope as I expected).
Although I have some prior experience in such activities with other groups, after the covid confinement I was definitely not fit enough to do all of the activities that were planned and this was a bummer for me. A more detailed information regarding this fitness requirement to participate in all the activities would have been appreciated before booking the activity. Otherwise, for those of you who are fit enough, have no fear of heights, and have some experience swimming in open water, it is a great experience and definitely good value!
Big thanks to our guide Miguel for taking care of us and to the coordinator Sergio for helping with the booking! Have a lovely day! Cheers
