Scuba Diving in Gran Canaria – Discover Scuba for Beginners

Try scuba diving in Gran Canaria with a beginner-friendly Discover Scuba experience at Amadores Beach.

No previous diving experience is required. Under the supervision of a PADI instructor, you will learn the basic safety procedures, practise in shallow water and then enjoy a guided dive to a maximum depth of 12 metres.

The experience includes all necessary scuba diving equipment and hotel transfer from selected areas in the south of Gran Canaria.

Discover Scuba Diving in Gran Canaria

This experience is designed for complete beginners who want to try scuba diving for the first time.

Before entering the water, your instructor will explain the basic safety rules and help you get comfortable with the equipment. You will then complete approximately 25 minutes of pre-dive training in shallow water before starting the main dive.

The dive takes place at Amadores Beach, on the southwest coast of Gran Canaria near Puerto Rico. The beach has a shallow and easy entry point, making it suitable for first-time divers.

The scuba dive lasts around 40 minutes, during which you may see species such as cuttlefish, parrotfish, Atlantic wrasse, bream, damselfish, octopus and other marine life.

Be more than 10 years old.	Pass PADI medical questionnaire to find out if you have any preexisting medical conditions that may affect you’re well being. Safety comes first!

There are no swimming requirements.	There is no a weight limit.
